On Crepuscular Musings

Crepuscular Musings is an offshoot of The Crepuscular Press: an imprint founded by Sophia Lambton to release her works.

Lambton is primarily a novelist. Crepuscular Musings is the home of her miscellanea.

This cornucopia of articles comprises classical music and opera reviews, literary compilations of tv and cinema and selective sneak peeks of her fiction.

Contrasting in their nature, these three genres share a single goal:

A much-needed retreat to art.

On Sophia Lambton

Resident in London, Sophia Lambton is an English-Russian-Jewish writer who has been a professional classical music critic since the age of seventeen. Beginning her career at Britain’s oldest classical music magazine, Musical Opinion, she has contributed to The Guardian, Bachtrack, MusicOMH, BroadwayWorld, BBC Music Magazine and Operawire.

Most of her is nonetheless a novelist. In 2019 she completed her literary series, The Crooked Little Pieces. Volume I was published by her imprint The Crepuscular Press on 25 May 2022.

She has also spent the past ten years profoundly researching an opera-related non-fiction book due to be published in 2023.

If her text appears suspicious, your assumptions are correct: she likes to alternate between US and British spelling across different articles.

And currently she’s working on her second literary saga.
